Reta Jones, CPA

A Principal in Meyners + Company's Business Services Department since 1998, Reta has nearly 25 years of experience in helping businesses identify opportunities for strategic growth and profit enhancement. Licensed as a CPA in both New Mexico and Arizona, she has accounting and auditing experience with an international accounting firm as well as the management of her own public accounting practice. Currently, she is a member of the Board of the New Mexico Lottery Authority and the City of Albuquerque's Accountability in Government Oversight Committee as well as a Community Advisor to the Junior League. Reta is the Treasurer for the Richardson for Governor campaign, and was elected by her peers to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' (AICPA) Joint Trial Board to make judgment decisions on proposed disciplinary actions against its members.
Reta's passion is found in actually making a difference in a client's success. She finds great satisfaction in having contributed to the survival and prosperity of several small businesses struggling through transitions of ownership, market changes, start-up challenges and personnel adjustments. She has an ability to listen well, allowing her to understand a business's perspective quickly, and she brings a common sense approach to problem resolution that makes it easy for clients to embrace her strategies.
